Sorry to see you’re injured dude! Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.
I haven’t commented before, but just wanted to say that I’ve been reading your blog for a while now (all the way from Melbourne, Australia) and I’ve found it to be a terrific resource.
In addition, I really think you’re hitting the nail on the head with the last few posts on injuries/rehab…CrossFit HQ doesn’t talk about that enough. This shit is potent and will wreck your body if you don’t take care of yourself.
Dutch, sorry to hear about your collerbone. I will tell you from experience (Biceps Tendonesis surgery Friday, January 22nd) that while I couldn’t be more frustrated by being injured, it does allow you to focus on other things that you have probably neglected for too long. Try and take the time to work on things you haven’t been able to because of your O-Lifting training, it will pay off in the end and you will be stronger and better off for it.
Keep Grinding.
P.S. Everything happens for a reason, had you not been injured you’d be asking Sam back for the singlet you let him borrow and I don’t think enough time has passed for it to be sterile.
