Hey guys,
I have been super busy lately with travel and training and such. I apologize for slowing down on the blogging. More importantly i am having a small case of writers block so if there is anything you want to hear about please let me know. Also, if i have asked you to write something for me, get off your ass and get to work!!
Dutch

First, thank you for all the content that you put out with the blog. It is much appreciated.
Topics…How about these?
Training over the holidays;
Diet cheats and the holidays;
Getting Sick, Rest or Push it?
Hope these knock the block off…Have a good day.
for a beginning weightlifter that was no idea how to program would you use mike’s gym, catalyst, or maxfit? or none? pros and cons of each? thanks
Dutch, on more of an affiliate question and since you’ve been around the block on this issue; what have you seenwork the best for training and compensating trainers? We are in the early stages of this and wanted to start off on the right foot.
Thanks
Thanks fellas I’m all over it.
Trey,
Check out Nickivioletti.com for trainer payment stuff. I’m hands off when it comes to business advice.
I don’t know if you wrote on this topic or not. I didn’t find your blog until August or so. Would you share about your experiences at the Games at regionals? What was different from 08 and 09, how you handled those changes? And your feelings on 2010 based on what info you have to date!
Dutch,
Thanks for being part of another great cert in Reno.
Dutch does not allow cheat meals and pretty much won’t even talk about it. I’d pay money to see him cave on the issue!
louise,
Not going near that one. I got in trouble once already. Sorry buddy. Maybe as we get closer i will get a stick up my ass and put it out there again.
James, Dan
Dan is correct. I may put a rant about cheating up here just so everyone knows where i stand. Dan found out the hard way. Sorry!!
Ron,
It is always a pleasure!
Till Next time…
First off, I just wanted to tell you great job on the DVD!! I just got it in the mail a couple of days ago and I love it!! I can’t wait to get more time to break it down and really learn everything I can from it.
For topics – Should we attempt to train a few skills/lifts pretty consistently for a cycle and then maybe choose another set of skill/lifts to kind of focus on? Or just randomly choose some different skills to train before each workout? I see some affiliates that don’t seem to really train a specific skill very consistently (o lifts, power lifts or gymnastics, etc) even though they otherwise structure their workouts like you’ve been recommending (warmup, skill work followed by a short metcon and then stretching/cooldown).
I’d like to see any remaining installments on MEBB and other programs.
Dutch,
What do you think of “heavy” METCONs? Are they useful? Do they develop strength? Is it better to let your METCONs be lighters ith the emphasis on power (the balance between loads, distance and time) and let strength training be separate? Thanks,
Pat M
