22 Oct 2009I have a small concern for everyone. This concern is not for myself, for i already know the truth.
I am worried that the Crossfit community at large does not know of one of its best trainers. Yes Aimee Anaya is a national champion weightlifter and co- editor of the Performance Menu, but did you know that she is one hell of a crossfit trainer…
Have you ever heard of Jolie Gentry?? Jolie came to Aimee early in 2009 with the goal of getting better at the O-lifts for the upcoming Crossfit games. Jolie knew that she needed to be stronger and she took action. Little did she know that she would be training full time both lifting and crossfit with Aimee. I think we can safely say that Aimee was a huge part in getting Jolie where she was for the 2009 Games.
Aimee sent me several workouts prior to the games and the ones that i actually did, crushed me! The rest i just looked at and thanked god i wasn’t Jolie.
To me this means she know more than just Olympic lifting. If you are in the area, or a female with female related training questions
go find Aimee. She gets it.

Yeah I agree with you Dutch. Now I am not a female but after watching her comp video at the 07 NPC and knowing that she is coached by Greg and Burgener for all those years, hard to find anyone better qualified then that.

I was lucky enough to be coached by Aimee when she was in the San Diego area. Over six months, she not only increased my Oly lifts by 50%, but she also taught me how to better teach the Oly lifts. As a CF trainer, having the ability to teach these lifts effectively was more important than my own strength and technique gains. In summary, she made me a better athlete and coach.
BTW, Aimee throws around some serious weights. It is pretty amazing to watch.

Damn, now I need to try those workouts… >:)
I’m always up for a new challenge in metcons. And I hear that Aimee is pretty much the shit.

Aimee trained me for 5 months leading into the Northeast regionals and I cannot speak highly enough of her coaching. I F…cked up at the last hurdle but not from her programming which was brutally legit. Strength increased accross the board and I am a better athlete for it. Great human being to boot!
