28 Jun 2009Saturday was an awesome showing and turned out to be a great seminar. I am constantly changing as i get more feedback from people and learn new systems.
I want to thank CJ of Crossfit Invictus for having me and hosting an amazing weekend. Michele also gets some love for feeding all of us.
Below are a couple photos and explanations of what you can expect to experience while attending a seminar. By the way this is all in addition to what you will get during the lectures.

You will have to opportunity to meet and chat with affiliates in your area. Find out what is working for them as well as how you can set up extra curricular events. Who doesn’t have a good time when you get a bunch of crossfit junkies together?

Work out!! Because you have to feel it to believe it.

Get a little exposure to teaching big groups and be evaluated like you would at your level 2.

Hang out with friends!

Maybe even get a little one on one hands on attention…
Thanks for coming everyone!

Thanks, Dutch von Flying Dutchman! This seminar is THE BOMB! So much great information presented leaving the door wide open for awesome group discussion and hands-on participation. This seminar takes you deep into the “intensity” discussion that is only briefly touched at the Level 1. It is such an important topic/piece of CrossFit that is often misunderstood. THIS IS A MUST ATTEND SEMINAR FOR ANY TRAINER!!

I’m a little biased because Dutch is a friend of mine, but this seminar is something that any and all trainers should go to just to hear the great dissemination of information Dutch has gathered and effectively distilled. He takes salient information from a gamut of well-respected and knowledgeable coaches and other reputable resources to provide his audience with sound information that contains the important details but minimal, if any, minutiae. I think the best part of his seminar is providing basic frameworks for coaches-in-the-making to actually apply some of the concepts he describes and allow for what is essentially peer review in the seminar, forcing the participant to really think about the justification for his/her programming and overall approach to coaching.
Like Michele mentioned in the previous comment, Dutch also goes into the topic of “intensity” that provides insight and a simple but refreshing angle for new trainers who may still be struggling with the concept when coaching others.
If you have have not considered attending his seminar, or are on the fence, let me assure you it is well worth the time and money spent.

I am from Europe and currently traveling in the US to learn about CrossFit, since there are not so many good sources on the old continent. Dutchs seminar was one of my priorities and I finally got to attend it in San Diego. Overall, it was a great experience.
I can highly recommend the seminar for every coach who wants to improve their programming and coaching skills. Dutch manages to break both these skills down in an easy-to-understand manner and gives hands-on guidelines on how to optimize them. All along the way, he is focussed on the overall goal (Increased fitness of our clients through increased power/work capacity) while at the same time leaving adequate room for interaction and discussion.
Great seminar – I am very glad I had the opportunity to go!

Dutch’s seminar ranks high up on my list of super recommended ways to further and improve one’s training knowledge and ability. Truly a worthwhile and fun experience; this is not one to be missed folks!
Thanks Dutch.
