I just wanted to give a shout out and a big thank you to Mark out at Crossfit Cape Cod. He sent these to me and i couldn’t help but share them with ya’ll. Enjoy!

It was the least I could do-you were so generous with your time with everybody at our box. (Liz is in love with the o-lifts now) Hope you make it back this way soon-I’ll send you a couple of our Kettle bell themed T’s when they go to print next month. “I need more kettlebell!” and “I Just Pood” of course there is a nice picture of a KB so people kinda know what the heck you are talking about. I have to thank the guys at CF Balboa for the origins of the Alien logo-it reads “CrossFit-Be Strong Enough to Fight Off the Probe” Balboas is better but they both get the point across.
I will take you up on the 30/30 thruster vs clean challenge-possibly as early as Friday. If not early next week.
Your the best Dutch
I love the “I just Pood” shirt! haha.
Good luck with the experiment. Post here how it goes.
The Thruster vs Full C&J thing has evolved as members are catching wind of it…ughh. I was hoping for some feedback on what we have so far. Tomorrows wod was scheduled to be 15 Thrusters 95/65 400m AMRAP 20. I thought as a comparison we could do 15 C&J 95/65 400m AMRAP 20 Next week. We can compare the rounds (I know at least Tim, Myself, Matty, Sarah and Liz will be there for both WOD’s)
I like what Matty came up with to though-his contention is that the hang C&J would increase cycle time and may be worse. But we all agreed that thrusters suck.
If you are open to suggestions, I would do three rounds instead of 20 minutes and possibly shorten the run. Then you would see a greater variance in times if there is one.
I think at twenty minutes people will slow down and decrease intensity.
Let me know how it goes either way.
Make sure you ask people which was harder. Times don’t always tell the suffering involved.
You are right-I already posted my blog so this may be the first in a series of ongoing experiments-either way we are going to get a whole lot fitter. I will keep you posted.
