Justin,
I love the quote "I am sure there are things that I don’t even know that I don’t know."
I will check your videos in the am and let you know what i think.

Bar and bumps are the first and most important thing you can get for your gym.

Dutch,
I could use another good coach.
I've got a couple of videos of some recent Cleans and one of me doing Grace (3:15) a couple days ago. I will email them to you.
I know I can get faster and stronger. I'm still looking for a way into higher levels of intensity. How do I get there?!? Some weeks are great, everything clicks, new PR's, etc. But I'm struggling with consistently firing on all 8 cylinders and soem weeks are frustrating because I know I can do better.
I'm also heading to the cert in Las Vegas in two weeks. I've ordered a barbell and bumpers for my garage, which I want to turn into an affiliate. I've already started working with several people. But I am not planning on quitting my day job (engineer) and know very little about training people.
I plan on continuing to train at local affiliates even after I get my weights at the garage, because like you said, "everyone needs a coach" and I just may have more to learn then most! Plus you can't beet the community and group workout dynamic.
I would value your insights and advice. I am sure there are things that I don't even know that I don't know, so let me know what you think.
For now I'm trying to figure out how to layout the garage, build a pull-up bar, open up the ceiling, etc...
Thanks!

Dutch now you know... I already see you as someone who has guided me down the right path. I have been so busy lately, as you witnessed on your day in the Life with Syn.

But I will continue to reach out for advice on situations. Your approach is like mine in many ways and I already see you as the coach in the back of my head.

Exactly! You don't see many successful pro teams with bad coaches...

It struck me at my BB Cert when Rippetoe said he will drive an hour and a half to receive coaching if he plans on competing-just shows how everyone needs a good coach no matter how much they know.
